Default 1940 DeLuxe radiator 'splash pan'

What is the correct term (what's it called) for the 'slash pan' that mounts directly underneath the radiator? It is held into the car by the same 2 bolts that are used to mount the radiator into the frame. Pic attached

It cost $1.45 in 1940 according to parts book. Amazing.
