Default 1946 Ford Backup Light Switch Mounting

Need some help please. Where and how is the backup light switch mounted? Does anyone have any mounting instructions they could e-mail me?

Thanks!

Steve

Steve, The switch is mounted to the steering column just in front of the firewall. It is arranged in such a way as to be activated when you shift into reverse. the shift linkage presses against the plunger on the switch.

You can also mount a pressure switch somewhere in your brake line - might be easier but not as original. 40s had it that way...
