question on running board

Driver's side from my 40 tonner panel. The hole for the gas filler was torched in. Since you have to lift the whole body to change one, seems unlikely it was ever changed. Also both running boards have a torched out rectangle on the inner edge that seems for no real reason.
Does anyone have a picture of the filler hole in theirs? I'm curious. thanks
