Default Last time out this year

You can see by the picture that we do have a slow entrance to winter here along the St Clair River. One last ride for Merlot before the too long winter's sleep. Its all washed and winterized, so just a quick trip around town to give a couple of things to a local niece and new baby.
We have a hand made (not by me) toy chest that my wife painted the seat with Teddy Bears. Also a Giraffe rocking toy that our kids and grandkids loved to ride. Gone to a happy home.
Cheers, Byron.

I feel for you that you have to lay your cars up,our winter is 20-25 C and no rain, hence we can use our cars all year round,

Say what you want about climate change, but from the weather report here in central Minnesota, it looks like I'll have at least another week driving my '51. The heater works good (except for the high speed on the blower) and the roads are dry, so off I go! That'll take me into December. Never done that before.

Nice looking pickup Byron. My wife and I took out 37 pickup out on Saturday as the temp was almost 60 and plenty of sunshine. This was the mildest summer I have seen in some years. Wonder what the winter has in store for us here in southern Indiana ???

Driving season is never over for me and the Merc. It just slows down a little
Obviously I won't be trying to start the old flathead at below zero f or getting it on salt covered roads. But if the snow is dry, not too cold, sunshine and blue sky, the Merc comes out for a little exercise.

Beautiful truck! The longer you keep it out, the prettier the world will be. Nice color Merlot is appropriate.

I know I'm spoiled here in the california sunshine but I'd like to think if there was snow I'd still drive in it. It'd be nice to find out how well the heated seats work.

Actually driving out in the snow in the country where there is no other traffic or road salt is quite enjoyable. First time down the road after a heavy snowfall and that fluffy new snow sprays out in a cloud from the tires. Like a boat out on the water.

The only heated seats on a Ford V-8 that I know of were from the gas expelled by the driver or passengers.

I need to rig up some ducting from the air cooled Mercomatic on mine and direct it into the car interior for winter use. :-)
