Re: splash apron removed
Is there any negative to removing the aprons? Why shouldn't I remove them or why should I?
I was thinking about the splash pans beside the engine, duh!!!!! Last edited by History; 10-05-2019 at 10:43 PM. |

Re: splash apron removed
Although not knowing for sure Synders offers this bolt set so I would say the body has to be raised just a few inches UNLESS they go toward the inner part of the body. You could see this by taking out the floor boards.

Re: splash apron removed
Radiator splash apron, engine splash aprons, and running board splash aprons. Lift the body? Yes, that is with the running board splash aprons. I had to stop and think for a moment on which aprons.......

Re: splash apron removed
To remove the aprons you'll have to remove the body bolts and the two bolts that hold the apron to the frame. One at each end. Then you can block the body up a little (1") to slip the apron out. You have to remove the fenders and runningboards first. The first part to go on the "A" chassis was the aprons and front fenders. Since your car is a 1930 you may be able to leave the front fenders on as this car has the split apron. Hope this helps. JP
