Default C-4 trans pan gasket change

Hi guys, can any of you tell me the approximate amount of fluid that will be lost when changing the pan gasket on a C-4 trans. ? I know it would be next to impossible to give an exact amount due to pan type and depth, and also how long the pan is off and the trans continues to "drip" before the gasket and pan are replaced. just looking for a rough estimate, so I will have an idea how much fluid to buy. It has been years since I have changed an auto trans pan gasket. Thanks for any help any one can provide.

When I replaced the pan gasket and filter on my C4 tranny,It took 5 qts of type F fluid. Although I had never done this job before,it was fairly easy.

poolplayer1 , Thanks for your reply. yes, I know it is an easy job. I am a retired mechanic. I was just not sure how much fluid was going to be required. I spent the last 20 years of my career working on heavy equipment so it has been many years since I changed a pan gasket on a C-4. was just trying to be prepared. I know it usually takes about 4 qts. for a GM TB 350, and thought that the C-4 would take a bit less, as the pan is smaller. guess I will find out when I change the gasket. Thanks.---Jim
