The radiator and shell is the same for the A and AA commercial chassis in 1927-1929. The AA, then used the December 1929 commercial shell through June 1930.

the original AA truck radiator core is thicker than the standard A passenger car radiator, and the AA shell is thicker (deeper) to accommodate this...I doubt if the shallower A passenger car shell would fit very well.

That is only for the mid 1930-31 AA, he is working on a 1929.

Correct Bob - Everyone can refer to page E-20 of the RGJS:

Beginning of production – March 1930 – Through December 1929 the A chassis radiator was used. From January through March 1930 the AA's continued to use the December 1929 style A chassis radiator. Either the Design 1 or 2 lower radiator tank could have been used.
March 1930 – June 1930 – With the 76-A open cab, 82-A closed cab, and 85-A panel delivery, radiator AA-8005 was used.

The announcement for the 3/30-6/30 radiator is in the April 1930 service bulletin. Starting June 1930 the thicker/taller AA radiator and AA shell was introduced with the 82-B, 79-B, and 85-B.
