Re: Model A trans seperation issue HELP
You do have the front radius rod (wishbone) ball disconnected?? If so, I would suggest that the universal joint is stuck on the driveshaft. Maybe gently pry with a bar to see if the transmission will move forward any.

Re: Model A trans seperation issue HELP
By "collar" are you referring to the "clam shell"??

Re: Model A trans seperation issue HELP
Is the U joint well lubed, or is it bone dry and rusty like this AA was. This had to be heated red hot and took several hammer blows to get it off the driveshaft.

Re: Model A trans seperation issue HELP
Honestly my chassis has been all restored and its the cleanest A frame I have ever seen so it comes to my surprise that it is so stuck and yes I was referring to the clamshell, and I have soaked it in wd-40

Kroil is much better then WD-40. I thought the clamshell was off, but the U-joint was stuck?
