Default Model A trans seperation issue HELP

Okay so have the engine out of my model a chassis and the trans has all the bolts out and is dis connected almost completely, I have the collar off and it is being supported by an engine hoist and I cannot get the trans separated from the torque tube... am I missing something any suggesstions... I sprayed it down today with wd-40... still had no luck

Any tips or tricks to get' em apart thanks fellas

You do have the front radius rod (wishbone) ball disconnected?? If so, I would suggest that the universal joint is stuck on the driveshaft. Maybe gently pry with a bar to see if the transmission will move forward any.

yes that is all completely disconnected I guess the shaft inside the torque tube is very stuck then

By "collar" are you referring to the "clam shell"??

Is the U joint well lubed, or is it bone dry and rusty like this AA was. This had to be heated red hot and took several hammer blows to get it off the driveshaft.

ouch that's painful to look at! glad mine were like a slip and slide covered in chocolate syrup! sticky gooey but well preserved and very useable.

Honestly my chassis has been all restored and its the cleanest A frame I have ever seen so it comes to my surprise that it is so stuck and yes I was referring to the clamshell, and I have soaked it in wd-40

Kroil is much better then WD-40. I thought the clamshell was off, but the U-joint was stuck?
