Default Starter drive shaft end play

Anyone know the Ford specification for starter shaft end play? Just received a rebuilt starter and the end play is 0.120" or nearly 1/8". Seems like a lot to me. Snyder's list two thrust washer thickness, looks like the rebuilder should have used both. Can't find anything in the service bulletins on this subject.

There should be minimal end play. When installing thrust washer(s) you have to ensure that the brushes end up more or less centralized on the commutator.
