Default Hotrod?

In the bottom left of this 1919 photo of a german WW1 tank being dragged by steam rollers, is what looks to be a newish Chandler sports.

It would be RHD imported chassis only, with a local body. So is it a hotrod?

Looks similar to every race car from that era.

My guess is that race cars here were more European at the time.

As you could ask for whatever body you wanted to go with your new chassis the sports would have been simple and cheap. Altho, some went for a more upmarket body on a common chassis I gather.

These sort of cars tended to be used for setting public road records. One of which the Model A sports still holds.

Some info that recently seems to have come up on the tank

Still interested in the definition of a hotrod...
