Never seize sometimes works.

Not sure if I will ever be happy with these brakes, and yes, I have Teds floaters on the front. These brakes are a pain.

Re: Mechanical brake Lube?????
Lubriplate No. 110 Brake Lubricant, white calcium grease.
Descripion: This water repellent grease is designed for the contact points where the brake shoes rest on the backing plate. It is also used for the automatic adjusters inside the brake assembly. I used this grease on drum brakes before disc brakes became prevalent. I still have an old can of it that I use on my 37.

many years ago I worked on developing a maintenance program for a golf cart fleet, one of the problems with the carts was the accel pedal sticking, 1/2 the fleet was done with never sieze, the other with wheel bearing grease, the intent was not touching this shaft for 2 years, within 3 months i was having problems with the never sieze group, had to redo all of that group, no problems with the waterproof grease group 2 years later I have been using a crest product, synthetic brake grease "ectolube" for the past few years My A was done with white lubriplate grease over 40 years ago, havn't taken them apart, but still work good, I do know it is due for going through again |

Re: Mechanical brake Lube?????
You beat me to it capto, I just used up a can of Lubriplate that I have used and got when in high school. Keeping it covered and the darn stuff just lasts forever.
I happened to come across a few old un-opened 14oz cans several years ago when removing an old heating system from a job site, thankfully I rescued them from the dumpster. You should disconnect the rears or back them of and see if they improve, should slide the front if not try a different lining ,if the rears are to tight it can stop the fronts

Re: Mechanical brake Lube?????
Would lubriplate 130 work? I don't see 110 in anything except a 5 gallon size.
