Default 36 Ford PU shock mount mod to 2" body drop

Has anyone come up with a good modification to the front upper shock mounts to allow use of same shock with 2" body drop with extended shackles?

are you talking about aftermarket conversions (tube shocks)?

Using longer shackles to lower an early model (pre 40) can be problematic. The angle and length of the shackles help control side sway. Longer shackles require the use of a pan or sway bar.

What mounts do you have now? Depending on the mounts you can get shorter shocks.
