Default Zenith-1 air balance

What is the technique for air balancing the fuel bowl on the Zenith-1? I understand it is necessary to prevent a rich condition when using an air cleaner on a Zenith.

If you run a tube from the bowl vent hole to the air filer (inside the air filter) you will balance the air pressure over the bowl gas with the air pressure inside the air filter.

Tom, Could you or someone post a sketch of how this is done? I saw an article in a magazine a while back showing a factory casting that incorporated this mod but I still couldn't figure out how the tube got back into the air filter area. I don't know how critical the location of the reenty point is. Thanks Bill G

This information was sent to me last time I asked about air balancing.

Credits are at the bottom of the pdf document.

Probably not, since the wire mesh offers very little restriction. I remember several small engines that used a wire mesh air filter, but it was soaked with oil to trap the dirt.
