Pan gaskets
Just getting ready to put the oil pan back on after bearing "tune-up". I am using the rope type crank pulley gaskets. Three questions:
a) Which is best - paper or cork side gaskets? b) Are the side gaskets meant to go over the top of, or be cut around the protrusion of the front rope gaskets? c) Is Permatex High Tack a good sealer for the side gaskets? Thank you in advance. George |

Re: Pan gaskets
I used Cork, the side pieces don't get cut-they go right up to the rope, I used aviation form a gasket from Permatex.
