If you don't know, you gotta ask.
Simple question but I don't know the answer. On my Model A tail lights that I am just getting wired back up, the top part is yellow and the bottom is red. I assumed that the red would be the stop lights but looking at where the "STOP" word is on some ebay tail lights it appears the yellow would be the stop lights. How is it?

Top part is the stop light, you can get the lens in yellow, red, or yellow with red 'STOP'. Bottom is the running light.

OK thanks, I was in the process of wiring it the other way. Actually I had one tail light one way and one tail light the other way. It has been too cold in Oklahoma to be out in the shop very much so have had it that way for a week.

In another thread someone opines that it's better to use bright bulbs and a solid red lens if you drive a lot at night. This makes sense since most people today are used to a red light going on when the car in front of them stops. Joe K
