For large items like fenders, etc. you might want to visit your closest Greyhound Bus Lines. I have used them numerous times and have been very pleased. They have always been polite, helpful and the packages have arrived safely every time. Cost is a fraction of UPS or USPS. The closet terminal to me is 25 miles but remains well worth the trip.

Re: transportation
It might be worth your while to go on the H.A.M.B. and look for a "H.A.M.B. Relay". There is a lot more activity there than here and you might have better luck. They are mostly "our kind of folks".

Re: transportation
I had each of my front fenders separately, shipped by Greyhound. The nearest to me was Pontiac Michigan. Only cost about $45 each and they were wrapped in Bubble wrap. Very Happy with the service; by the way that was in 2008. Byron.

Re: transportation
I ship stuff (less than a truck load) truck freight all over the US on a regular basis. It goes by both weight and size. It can get expensive but it's less hassle for me in my business. Most everything I ship has a crate or a box covered pallet that can easily be lifted with a fork lift. If the bus lines won't take it, a person doesn't have a lot of choice unless they deliver half way or something like that. Worldwide Express is a good broker but there are others.
