How can I use the model A light switch on my 56 f100 steering box?

Did you modify the unit yourself for use or purchase one already done? There should be a hole the full length of the shaft to accommodate the light rod. I got the one from Randy Gross. He makes them for the different rod lengths on the 28/29's and 30/31's and the stock light switch items should connect right up.

I needed a longer horn rod for mine, but yes it had been modified correctly for the A. Just have Randy do a box for you- won't find a better guy.
