Re: My 1934 Ford PU Project.
Looks like a wonderful project. Remember to enjoy restoring it. Without really loving a project, it is no fun but just a long hard task. Don't rush it either..Carefully work little but little on select areas and you will be amazed how much you can do and how much fun you can have.

Yes, you have a great truck to start out. It is neat that it is running and you can show it at different venues. You will love it no matter how the final project turns out. This is my ten year project. On the road since 2009. Owned since 1957.
Byron.

Started cleaning up with the cab. Trying to go easy to preserve the pinstripes and character...

Jeff, my Dad started working at S.H. Cooley Ford in Healdsburg, CA. as a kid in 1935. That dealership became Sanderson Ford, and still is to this day.

Not much to update on: - Got the RR fender repaired by diFalco this week. It had some really bad sheetmetal welding done that I wanted fixed up. - Been cleaning up the paintwork as much as possible, trying to disturb things as little as possible. - "re" welded my license plate bracket. It was a cold weld that broke. - "re" welded the rear fender brace. Again, bad weld... I did have a section of the passenger window (front bottom corner) break off, so I'll need to address that at some point. Got signed up for the American Graffiti car show and cruise this month, which should be fun... |

Great job on the truck jeff.. You will have a lot of fun in that . I would like to find the cargo hooks on your bed sides for mine . Someone borrowed mine sometime during it's life. Keep up the good work & thanks for posting pics. V

Love your truck. I'd do the safety stuff and leave it as it is, caked in goo and all. You can't buy patina like this has. Love the extra gauges.
