Default Finishing putty

I bought some Blaze Glaze to use as a finishing putty on some of my parts that are pitted.

This is a really nice putty and sands fairly well when dry.

It comes as two tubes...the main putty itself and a tube of hardener.

However there are two downfalls with this putty.

1. If not used for awhile, both the main tube and hardener tube will settle out and it is a chore to get the two to where they are supposed to be before you mix the two in order to use;

2. Once mixed...you only have about 3 minutes to use the batch before it starts to harden.

SO...Is there a spot putty that comes in just one tube which is already premixed and does not settle out as this one does?

Thanks.

Pluck

Try a shade less hardener,it will set up slower.Im not aware of any premixed glaze.

Use a regular lightweight filler made by a reputable company such as Evercoat. Fillers have changed over the years. You do not want to use anything that is not catalyzed.

Also understand that premium fillers are not much money in the grande scheme of things, and if you only get to use ½ a gallon per year, then so be it. Dispose of the old and repurchase a fresh can.

Like Brent I use Evercoat lightweight finishing putty. It comes in a squeaze container with a tube of catalyst. It has a good working time and sets up fast.

Screeded glazing on this,it was pitted.Filled well,sands real easy.Its a little hard at first to get a reference to work from,I broke through in a few areas.The minute it starts to pull its done,its beginning to set,a little lighter hardener and through mixing and I gained more time without losing finish hardness.It also works well as a finish pass over filler.
