Question Best Black High Heat Paint that Dries Like it Should

I know, an odd question but what have you found for exhausts that actually does what it should? My question come from a miserable time I had with Rustoleum High Heat Black that I used to paint my outdoor grill. Sanded the grill and painted as instructed on the can (grill is an old Ducane all stainless panels). Dried the grill an instructed and used it to cook, all seemed well. Then I covered it up with the grill cover till next time. Imagine my surprise when I found the cover sticking to the grill because the paint was not totally dry! I went through this exercise twice with the same results. No one at Rustoleum could explain why it happened but they did refund my cost of the paint (big deal). What do you recommend?
