Steering column length
Later two tooth shafts were either 44 or 45 inches. Why the difference? Did specific body styles dictate length? I can't seem to find anything relating the body style to the shaft.

And you wont that I know of...HOWEVER try reading page 422 in the February 1930 Ford Service Bulletin for starters. There were five (5) different lengths of the Light Switch Handle and Horn Switch Assemblies, page 517, December 1931 Ford Service Bulletins, so maybe there were 5 different column lengths. Sounds like a great research article for you to do! Pluck Last edited by Steve Plucker; 11-28-2010 at 11:44 AM. |
