Engine noise?
I can't figure what this noise is, I thought it was the generator, but with belt off still noise. Can a distributor make that noise? Listen! Thanks for any ideas. https://youtu.be/xT-iWu5VVcw

Re: Engine noise?
A worn vac brake piston/bore can make some pretty strange noises. You might disconnect and plug the vac line and start it again. If the noise goes away, that's the culprit.

Re: Engine noise?
The distributor is the only exterior part turning with the belts off. Must be in there and gotta be that bearing thingy.
