Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?
The guy that modified my radio says I won't need to do this because the 12v power converter built into my radio, does not interfere with the stock 6v positive ground. It's like magic! It's a totally different circuit.

Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?
I have a little apprehension about what "A guy named Charlie from I believe Ohio made some kind of adaptor". ("Adapter is the correct spelling of the device").
I advise you to be careful, lest you let the "smoke out of the wires", which is usually a fatal end to electrical problems. |

Re: XM Radio On 6 Volts Positive?
The simplest solution is to find a grand child, yours or somebody else's. That child could easily load hours of your xm music to a jump drive (thumb drive) and you can play it through your USB port into your radio.
If your music is on CDs, the kid can easily use his laptop to load the music (hours of it) onto the drive and do the same. There would not be any commercials unless you want the kid to add some. Old commercials would be entertaining maybe and they are on line I'm sure. The drive (has no moving parts - uses digital solid state files) is ten or fifteen dollars for hours of music recording and loads in just minutes. The music files would be called MP3 files after the conversion. The grand child knows all about it and could get the drive for you. You have a great setup there. |
