Default Is this speedometer cable routing correct?

Is this routing of the speedometer correct for a late model '31 CCPU or should it be through the ignition box?
Thanks

Here is a photo of the correct routing. The cable should be painted black.

If you don't have time to do it right the 1st time, how do you have time to do it the 2nd time?

Thanks Greg. I got it but has to be the wrong one. The I.D. is way too big.

Do the threaded ends paint also or stay natural?

Interestingly the RHD routing is different . The cable enters the car through an angled slot in the upper floor board . It does make a smoother run so I have done this route on my LHD cars .

John in weather was cancelled today Suffolk County England .
