This is the best resource for flatheads, but the Hamb is the best resource for traditional hot-rodding and customising. Pre 1964 only, and Hambers do not tolerate ratrods or idiots. If you have a flathead powered hot rod, as I do, you belong to both and get the best of both worlds.

Look up at the top of this page where it says "about us" and poke that there. Atomic industries owns both these websites. The format is the same.

If you are easily offended you might want to stay on the Fordbarn. NO politics allowed. AND they don't put up with BS. The HAMB is not for everybody but it's a great site.

I find the HAMB a little too fast moving. Well, maybe a lot too fast moving. But, it is tremendous if you have the time to devote and interests beyond the traditional pure restoration attitude that prevails here.

Most of us are in the same boat....we like messing around with these old cars.At times,replies may seem rude or belittling but largely, are not meant to be interpreted as such.It's difficult to show emotion in the form of a typed reply(smiley faces help). When someone asks"Why did you do that?"it almost sounds like you're being called an idiot.When if fact,they simply wanted to know why you did that.All in all a wonderful site with lots of good people that are willing share their knowledge.If not for the "Barn", my little coupe would still be in boxes and covered with dust. My thanks to all of you that have helped me,weather you know it or not....See?

The Hokey Assed Message Board is a great site but I agree with some about it's fast pace. There are a lot more folks that frequent the site and it's hard for an old man like me to keep up with but there is tons of information from a lot of sharp individuals on there if a person has the time to sort through some of it.

I highly recommend “subscribing” to those threads that interest you. They automatically update even when dormant for a while and you don’t have to scroll thru a lot of threads or do a “search” to find the one you’re looking for. Same is true of the threads here on the Fordbarn.

As on the Barn, a lot of great talent on the H.A.M.B. some of the guys metal working skills are fantastic.
My “skills” look like kindergarten crayons compared to a Picasso.
