Default Valve Tool

Some descriptions describe this tool for Ford Model A and T vehicles. Is it specific or a generic valve spring tool. Does it do the job?
Apparently it is an early version of a DZ tool because DEE-ZEE is spelled out on the orange release lever. I don't do pictures but, here is an Ebay ad for it:

Their are a lot of valve spring tools. Some work and some don’t. This one should work just fine. I usually borrow several and pick the one that works best.

It should work, however I prefer modern 'C' clamp design, they are easier to use and leave more room for your fingers to get in there and work.
