Default Direction of flow

Can anyone confirm direction of flow of coolant thru the heater core? I'm replacing a leaking valve and the new one is directional. Am I correct in thinking coolant flows from top of head thru the valve to the core and returns in lower rad hose to bottom of block. Bypassing the radiator completely. Excuse my rudimentary sketch.

Edit: worded this wrong the first time!
Nope, other way around, bottom to top, opposite the radiator.

The coolant flows out of the cylinder heads into the top of the radiator and exits via the lower radiator hose and into the water pump. You must be sleepy,Jerry!
Yes,Will...you are correct with your routing of the core and valve.

Ya I stated it wrong! The heater drawings are bottom to top on the heater core, top to bottom on the radiator.

The heater install drawings show heater hose from head to the bottom inlet to the heater core and the hose from the top of the heater core to the lower radiator hose.

I edited the original post.

My heater is mounted under the seat on drivers(left)side, horizontal/flat on the floor. There is a 2nd 6v fan mounted on the firewall passenger(right) side that is on an aux switch and can be turned on when the heater core is turned on. The output is short with a Y and blows up behind the dash exiting at base of windshield like a modern day windshield defrost.

Pressumably not a stock setup? Or maybe only a Canadian thing. 1938 deluxe Fordor Canadian serial numbers.

The connections should be basically the same, the in and out of the heater core shouldn't make much difference.
