Engine Pan Questions
So I have an early 28 car and I want to put engine pans in it but it has a 1930 engine so will that determine the design I need? Also, should I just go with the repos if there are no differences?

Re: Engine Pan Questions
The 1928 pan are different because it does not have a front lip kind of unique

But will early 28 pans fit the 30 engine and early 28 frame?

Re: Engine Pan Questions
All model A engines had the same bolt pattern for the oil pan so yes the engine pans will fit up to the 30 engine just the same . the engine pans will also fit the 28 frame .

Re: Engine Pan Questions
As,far as I know they only reproduce the latter ones with the lip , I really like a correct car but unless you can find anything in repairable conditions the latter ones with the lip will work and look great just my opinion best of luck please let us know what you come up with

Re: Engine Pan Questions
Well,..either your front crossmember has been modified OR you have a late 1928, you
have the yoke style front motor mount. I guess you could use the repop engine pans.. |

Re: Engine Pan Questions
Paint some repops and put them on. While your enjoying them, look for an original to copy and get the book that has the pictures of the differences so you can identify what it is that you think you need. Then make some. You could even get the blueprints. You could even go into production and supply the market sense some are not reproduced. Its just sheet metal. I always use them. They all break from vibration and get tossed in the trash. That's when you make your exact repos.
