Default Open Vehicle Windshield Weather Strip

1. Is the lower rubber weather-strip ('28) slightly beveled at each end to provide an overlap on the stanchion rubber strips … or are the ends simply a straight cut as supplied from the vendor? If beveled, any specific angle? Pix would be helpful.

2. Should the stanchion rubber weather-strip ('28) be only a snug fit or should I add a dab of sealer/adhesive to secure the rubber to the stanchions? As in question #1, any beveling at either end?

Thanks, as always!!!

I just looked at the rubber on my 9-27-28 Phaeton and the side strips are square cut and extend down to the cowl. The strip on the bottom of the windshield frame angles out so it just covers a small bit of the side strip. I don't know if these are original rubber parts, but they've been in for many years.
