fenders and running boards assembly Q's
We have had a successful short drive, and are getting ready to install the rear fenders, running boards, and front fenders.
Any suggestions regarding the order of installation, or any tips from the wealth of knowledge from the Ford Barn? Late 1931 Roadster Pickup. Parts acquired over 25+ years by my father. This is a complete build from a garage/attic full of parts, not rebuild. Any tips/hints would be greatly appreciated. Ed Williamson |

Got to lift the cab and bed on one side and slide the splash aprons in, then do the other side. Only you could know what you want to attend to while the sheetmetal is not in the way. Putting it together several times and then apart is the best way to get familiar, and easier on this body style.

Sorry. I guess the picture doesn't show it well. The splash aprons are already installed

Re: fenders and running boards assembly Q's
I would install the runningboards first. If you are worried about scratching the fenders where they meet the runningboards, use some painters masking tape (not strong adhesive on it) and tape the fenders near where they meet the runningboards to prevent scratching the paint. Make sure to put the tape where it can be easily removed once the fenders are installed. Good luck.
