It is a pretty car.... But, I wouldn't trade my original unrestored '34 for it....

It's true..
Me neither.
To totally restore a car is something you only do if the car has no interior and no paint to speak of..and there are many of those around.
But to have an un-restored original it would be a crime to repaint and reupholster. I remember seeing the adds in Mac's with pictures of a before re upholster and how it would look afterward. When the before was in great shape and just slightly discolored with age. I also collect some old clothing from the early 30's and would never think of purchasing new remakes.
I think We are the lucky ones have substantial original cars. I remember traveling in trains and sitting in classic theaters with mohair seats that looked aged because they have endured through the depression and the interior of my car has the same atmosphere to me.

Here's an all original (except the carpet, seatbelts, and tires) 51 Ford Custom I recently drove for a few months while selling for the widow of the last owner. 63,000 original miles.

This is what I know ...... It was in a museum in Mass for 17 or so years ...... the owner died and some years later the collection was sold. This car was purchased by a great gentlemen in South Point Ohio and he owned it for 8 or 9 years. It was advertised for sale on the Barn .......... and I bought it ........ They are only original once and this one will stay that way as long as I own it ..........

What a beautiful thread. I thought I was crazy putting my hand on an old car just sitting, getting a lump in my throat listening to it tell me something. I just love it.

It is really like a time machine that transports you back in time.
It also adds to it when you have an original radio and pipe period music in and hear it come out thru your antique car radio. Remember, Life goes so fast, enjoy yourself.

That is a bug I caught in high school. It wasn't a Ford but a '40 Buick. Every time I sat in the car I would get transported back in time. I would hear the music, see the headlines and imagined that I could hear my grandparents talk amongst themselves back when.
