I never had the pleasure to meet Mike, but felt like a friend because of his presence here on the 'Barn. I pray for God's comfort to his family and friends.

I am very sad to hear this. I had the privilege of meeting Mike several year ago at Daytona during the annual Turkey Rod Run. Class act fellow all the way! Rest in peace in Heaven's glory.

Very sorry to hear this sad news. I did have the pleasure of meeting Mike a couple times at Daytona. Great guy! Had mucho knowledge and enthusiasm for our beloved old Fords. Very interesting stories and just a nice demeanor with an infectious smile.

I am praying for Mike's family. Godspeed and rest in peace Mike.

We were shocked to hear of Mikes passing, our prayers are with you all, we had a good visit at the Walnut Festival a few weeks ago,it made my day, Mike got us in the V-8 CLUB IN 1972,he also brought me,Velma and Eric home from Parkersburg in the rumble seat of his 1935 convertible, when our points shorted out on our 38 coupe, he taught me a lot,he was a really great and humble friend, we will miss him,Richard and Velma Parsons,WVa

My wife and I had dinner with Mike and Joan just last week in Spencer, WV. He seemed to be in good spirits. We always saw Mike on our trips to Florida. He was a good friend, we will miss him..

I liked Mike, he gave good honest answers to all questions and never looked down on anyone even if they were a purist or a hot rodder, he treated everyone alike.

Like so many, I had met Mike here on the Ford Barn. Just one year ago I decided to join the Daytona Birthplace of Speed V-8 club. Mike met me and brought me to the meeting and introduced me to everyone making me feel very comfortable.

He was a true gentleman and will be missed by so many.

May he rest in peace.

A downer for all friends and relatives and obvious loss to the V8 community. RIP

This is definitely sad news. I have enjoyed Mikes posts here on Fordbarn for many years and all our personal messages back and forth as well. Had the privilege of meeting Mike in person at one of Vic Piano's gatherings in Tampa. He had a love and passion for these early Ford V-8's. Rest in peace Mike, you will be greatly missed.

Sad to hear this about Mike....His 4700 posts on this Forum and God knows how many on Shelly's original 'Ford Barn'....He was an institution unto himself....

I envied his luck in owning those two Fords, but I respected his knowledge and his
calming admonitions when some discussions got out of hand. He will be missed.

Wow - never met the man, sure wish I had! What a wonderful and kind human being - so loved by so many and missed by more than he could ever know.

RIP Mike - enjoy your rides up on the Big Highway in the Sky!
