Default Progress report on my ‘40 Frankintruck😁

Previous post “my new ride” https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=249754
Been a few months & got engine, tranny, brakes & electrical working great. As several posts on original thread commented truck far from original. Wrong bed, wrong chassis at least. So the worst was the steering. Chassis is ‘42-‘47 steering modified to power with ‘inbox power unit’. Poor design connecting pitman arm to steertng linkage on Left wheel Assembly & didn’t allow full steering & interfered w suspension. Pics will show before & fix. Cut modified short link connected to Left wheel & reattached to center of long steering connecting link. It allows full steer w no interference. Ready for road test when snow melts & drys up a bit. Also pics of custom alum. gas tank under bed. Gave up on lowering for now. Still love it!
