1962-63 f 100 ft whl cylinders

I'm working on friends f100. the front wheel cyls are shot they are the one piston style. Can not find them anywhere. Can I use the late 63 or 64 two piston cylinders and just come up with a second plunger (slotted arm)?
Since the temperature dropped 50 degrees today and colder Wednesday all outside work has stopped.
