Wiring help
I got my sedan wired up today, have spark when I crank with key on and no spark with key off. Hooray for that. When I run the wire to the generator it sparks when I touch the wire to the terminal. Any guesses other than I have something wired wrong?

Re: Wiring help
Do you mean the battery side of the cutout terminal? You need an insulating washer there.

Re: Wiring help
If you are running the wire to the back side of the cutout it should not spark. From what I understand, it would seem that the cutout contacts may be stuck together. Remove the fan belt and conect the wire, if the generator starts spinning the cutout is stuck closed. As mentioned previously, an insulating washer is required.
