Default 35 pickup interior cab

Just noticed the rectangular openings over the top of the windshield inside the cab of my 35 pickup.. I don't remember seeing anything for covers that came with the pickup when I purchased it (All apart).
Are there metal covers that go there or is it blanked off with interior paneling ??. Thanks

Yeah and they are not cheap if and when you find them.

Scarce as hen's teeth. You do see them on eBay occasionally.

Usually will find them with a search for "wiper motor access panels" or "wiper motor cover"....when you can find them.
They will have hole where the wiper switch knob comes through.
Also they will have a hole at each end for a screw to attach to the windshield header.

EDIT: this pic shows the '37 style!

The ones in the picture are not 35-36. 35-36's are flat. Not being reproduced as far as know.

This is the correct one for 35-37 trucks. Mine were both still in my cab but sadly both were smashed when the tree came down on the roof. My donor cab was missing them.

I have at least one of those mixed in with some '35-'36 parts I purchased a couple months ago from a friend and fellow Fordbarner. If/when I can get out to the garage again, I will sort through these boxes of parts and find it. I believe it has a little rust along one edge that I'm sure could be repaired.

None of the pickup wiper motor/windshield hinge covers fit all 3 years from 35-37. The flat ones were 35/6 and the curved ones were 37 only. The one VanSpeed posted is 35/6. The ones shown in Scott's picture are 37.

Agreed, my '36 truck uses the flat ones but that pic of the '37 style was the first internet pic I could grab for illustration purposes. At least it shows you what NOT to get!

The 35-6's /flat panel could be made on a bead roller fairly easy. If you have access to one ? The only tough areas being the screw holes which could be bypassed in the rolling and just drilled and dimpled. They are not original but they would be very close. After you locate a couple you could always donate yours to another build. Someone would be happy to get them.. win win.. Van

I finally did find that wiper mtr panel cover for 35-36 PU as mentioned in post #10. It is a little ratty along one edge but may be repairable or could definately be used as a pattern to make more, see picture in post #8. The first person who contacts me in need of this cover for their project can have it for cost of postage which would be ~ $3 - 4.00 here in the States.

Hey Jake. Have you got the fenders on the 35 pickup yet? You've got to drive it down to one of our Thur night cruise in pretty soon. How about posting a couple of pictures on the barn. Walt

Walt, this is photo from last week of our progress. Last of the sheet metal going together now. It's looking great thanks to a lot of good people like yourself and Dan Ladrigan , my son Chris and all the help from the Ford Barn members. Chris and I'll be down to see you this summer. He thinks that old 49 can keep up with my 35. He doesn't know you put some extra juice in my motor.
