Anybody heard of this overdrive?

My picture of the unit under the car was bad but here's the knob on the steering column. The unit has "RICE A" on the housing but no tag or other markings. It is cable controlled and must be disengaged to reverse. If you forget to disengage it, reverse acts like neutral.

Any knowledge would be appreciated !
