Default Briggs or Murray

I'm confused by some things on our car. It's a 31 S/W, but the window tops look like a Murray. But the tag on the firewall says Briggs.
Can some one help me out on this?

All 1931 slant windshield sedans had the so-called Murray window arch. The straight across window top on Briggs sedans 1928-early 1931 was changed to the Murray arch on these bodies.

Briggs & Murray slant windshield cars have the same window openings, so they do not indicate the car builder. However, the hardware used to assemble the bodies is an indicator. Looking at the firewall, Murray uses cage nuts and Briggs uses "D" nuts. The photo shows Murray's cage nuts.

The bodies were standardized for the shift to the new design. A lot more steel was used as well. Ford wanted them interchangeable.
