Default Show me the wood in your 33/34 Phaeton please

Hello all,

Can someone please show me all or some of the wood inside a 33/34 Phaeton please ?

If you have photos of a car when it was dismantled for restoration or something.

I'm starting to restore my 33 and want to see how and where the wood is and the shapes and sizes.

To be clear, you are looking for patterns for convertible top components ?

The pictures I posted on your other thread of the wood in the doors on a '33 is a RHD.Did you look at them? Its easy to tell that yours is not the Australian version.

Not the first photo, which is of mine, a LHD car. Not that it matters as the doors on the North American-manufactured phaetons and roadsters are the same for both LHD and RHD, unlike for closed cars pand cabriolets where the door locks differ side to side and therefore are unique for the LHD and RHD versions.

ceejay's car is very like the product of Ford of Canada which produced the vehicles sold in the British Commonwealth countries (except the British Isles and the bodies of the Australian vehicles) during that era.

ceejay,

Judging from your two photos, you have a very good starting point. If you are not sure, please consider the photos below of my black '33 when we started. One could argue that it should have been scrapped.

ceejay's Right Hand Drive 1933 Ford Phaeton ex Sri Lanka.
As you can see it has the North American Body, not the very different Australian Body.

I see you have a "wanted " post looking for tail light stands. Your stands appear to be correct but the tail lights themselves look to be early Chevrolet(?) Also the rear bumper brackets possibly mounted upside down necessitating the protrusion through the fenders(?) Anyway, lots of easy fixes here and what a great car. Do you have any of its history?

If anything, the rear bumper brackets appear to be the two-piece-per-side front brackets and not one-piece-per-side rear brackets at all. The front bumper appears to a '33, but the rear appears to be the '34 version with the wider spacing of the two center bolts.
