thank you Mercman- they do. I can now understand the hinge setup and what to look for.

guessing the Australian ford might be a little smaller then the US built.....

I dont even have an inner frame to hold the cushions.....

Ronn the Aussie phaetons are identical in size to the American bodies. The timber frame is simple construction and the springs are available brand new. The little hinge plate you can see in Mercmans photos were used also in flatback sedans and tudors sedans and convertible sedans, so you can access that space behind the seat for storage.
