59 AB Plug wire set
There is a set of plug wires from, I believe, one of the smaller 60-80"s Dodge V8 engines that fit the Ford Flathead with the 21A distributor. Anyone recall what Cubic Inch engine size those are ? Thank you Fordbarners.

Re: 59 AB Plug wire set
An ideaI got from a long time Ford flathead guy on the plug wires was to use a set from a '70's-80's small block Chrysler product like a 318 to 360 as they have the distributor in the front like the flat motor. Anyone have experience with that setup or have a NAPA # for the wire set ?

Re: 59 AB Plug wire set
Would those be real wire though? I'm all ears because I'd like a set also. Is the 21a a crab?

Re: 59 AB Plug wire set
Yes this is for a 59L with a 21A distributor. I have the same setup on the 59 in the roadster and used Belden wires from NAPA, but I can't remember what part # I started with. These are Belden Edge Premium 7 MM, metallic SAE 14. I had to trim some to length an install right angle connectors for the 21A end so they both ends were right angle. Photo.

Re: 59 AB Plug wire set
Carpenter sells them. I bought a set for my '46 Coupe, P/N 59A-12259, $70.00. They are brown colored which I understand is the correct color for the year.

Re: 59 AB Plug wire set
If you are not interested in the correct appearing wire, and don't want to make them up yourself, Brillman's makes 7MM wires to your specs out of black EPDM cover, copper core, with right angle terminals & boots, so you just have to plug & play, $67. for the set, includes coil wire.
