if you add up all the stuff its well over $8900 not including any labor or factoring in it already has a title...

They should deff include more pics of all the other stuff and no mention of doors...

Think about this ; for example, a new car costs 15000. If you buy all the parts from that new car seperatly you will easily arrive at 60000 !

It looks looks like it's ready to put together. Much better than paying a few thousand less for a basket case "barn find". (I hate that term)

Lets factor in 88 years from now and see if you can find most of the pieces to a 2018 F150 in one convenient place. If we all could go down to the ford dealer and order a new Model A with factory new parts to spec would anyone restore these cars?

99% of restored cars have way more money in them vs their actual worth and someone could have passed away and never finished this project or lost interest or money so the buyer of this car is off to a great restoration start - alot of the hard parts are done and pain to get parts are there. Ive traveled many miles many states away for parts to my AA.

It is a little high, but really not too bad. BUT i'd want to see all this stuff and rebuilders receipts too. The wood alone will cost almost that much, throw in the upholstery for about 3 grand. Now add up the little stuff, which the seller doesn't mention, and the paint and and the roof. Maybe it's me, but I don't recall any mention of running boards and a number of other parts.
Still it may be a good deal

Question?

If this car were completely done to a very good level. What do you guys think it could be worth?

Or, to put it another way. What would you pay for it?

Why would you say something like that when you don’t have a clue? I have owned the car since 1976 and also own 6 other Model A’s that I have restored from the frame up. At this stage of my life it’s doubtful that I will be able to complete the restoration on this car so I hoping someone else will be interested in completing it. Barrett Jackson and hoping to capitalize has nothing to do with it.

Well said and thanks for posting. You just have to over look some of the negative comments posted here. Some people just don't get it. Good luck on your add.

Not a negative comment - an observation based on the uptick
in CL ads during the BJ January auction.

That particular motivation may or may not apply to this particular Model A project - but the project is for sale when the BJ auction is in town.

In my opinion - the Model A project is priced too high.

So - you are the owner of the car on CL the OP started the thread about ?

Why aren’t you selling it here in the Classifieds ?

Good Morning

I started up the thread here on FB

I thought it is the purpose of FB to share info but I guess not.

Joop

PS. Did not know the seller had an account here.

With the additional photos, the price looks more in line for a Briggs Fordor project. Depending on who rebuilt the motor, you are looking at a 2 to 3,000 dollar bill, plus a couple grand for the wood kit, 2K plus for the interior kit. Many people would pay a third of the asking price for a broken down "barn find" or a rusting hulk buried in mud behind the barn. Trulyvintage, perhaps you should invite the seller to join us in the Barn.

Things are worth what a buyer pays for it,not what a seller asks.If the car is worth 8900 to a buyer it will sell.I see a lot of interesting pricing, like that 28 pickup I posted..its been on the market for 8k for months,it was just dropped to 7800...

Agreed - I think its a great price. Dome light alone is worth $40+ since they haven't been repoped ever... Nice radiator shell, added pics of other sheet metal look great as well and the parts he says its missing are easy to find at swap meets.
