Default which way does the engine turn in the 59AB

No electrical in the car at this time and am wondering if i was sitting inside the car behind the wheel, WHICH WAY WOULD THE ENGINE TURN ? Clockwise or counter clockwise ?

Looking from the flywheel end....counter clockwise.

I think all engines turn that way, otherwise you couldn't swap transmissions or rear ends around from make to make.

The vast majority of motors turn clockwise when viewed from the front. There are only a handful of exceptions after 100 years plus of vehicle production.

If it has a fan look at that and work out which way it would have to spin to pull air through the radiator.

Think about how it would turn if you were hand cranking it. Always cw from the front.

There is a 2 stroke in some small contraption, maybe a 3 wheeler, and I think European, that to go in reverse, you stopped the engine and started it back up going in the other direction .

i think a lot of the newer front wheel drive, sideways motors turn the other way too, but we are flathead guys

Ski Doo snowmobiles (and possibly some others) have a system that reverses the engine to drive in reverse. Actually, any 2 stroke will run backwards if you just change the ignition timing and spin the engine backwards.
