Default new guy, with a question

so i'm starting to put some cash aside for a 55-56 Ford 2 door, not picky on trim level. i've done a little looking but coming up pretty empty. how is parts availability for these cars, mainly body panels? i have a '66 mustang now, so i'm a bit spoiled as far as parts go. appreciate any info.

If you need the usual rust repair panels check the EMS Sheetmetal catalog online. Also Surplus Supply. Unfortunately unlike Chebbys of the same era, repop fenders, door skins, etc. are not available. We get no respect, no respect at all.

I'm impressed with the volume of body panel parts that you can get for '55/56 Ford cars. They offer inner & outer rocker panels, half-height and quarter-height rear quarter panels. left and right side inner rear quarter panels, front and rear driver and passenger side floor panels, front foot riser panels, both sides, lower front fender patch panels, headlight patch panels and full tail panel. EMS has the best quality.

On '55 and '56 Fords, always check the front cross member for rust. They are bad about rusting. Good luck!
