I would think any parts house or bearing supply should have them. I looked up O'Reilly's and NAPA and they both showed them. The Timken number for
18-10164 is A4059 and for 18-10165 is A4138.

I think I may have some of these. Have an old metal generator parts box. I'll try to have a look this weekend.

I may be wrong about this, but I seem to recall rebuilding my '35 generator years ago and found that I could replace the original cone and cup bearing with two of the same ball bearings used as pilot bearings. I believe I bought this as a repair kit from one of the well known parts suppliers. These ball bearings would be less costly and readily available. Anyone else remember this alternate method of replacing this front generator bearing?

Yep, definitely a concern Lawrie, and I just may be all wet on this one, but I recall doing this and maybe reading an article on this....could have been in the V8 Times??

have you looked in the V8 parts suppliers catalogs or on line? I just Googled "1934 V8 Ford Generator bearings" and got a number of hits.
