Mine are original and seem to be the same color as the headliner. Sorry I don't know the actual color, it looks like beige, but I'm sure Lebaron Bonney can help you.

Do you mean the metal bracket or the fabric color?

On the 40 Ford the sun visor the metal frames are covered by the headliner cloth. The DeLuxe has two visors. The Standard had only one. The only metal part that shows is the mounting bracket and a small part of the steel rod that through the visor. I painted mine the same color as the rear view mirror. Don't know if its the OEM correct color. On page 3-2 of the 1940 FORD Book:A Compendium of Current Restoration Practices published in 1987 by the EarlyFORD V-8 Club of America, it says that "the metal rod and its mounting piece are painted medium brown."These photos were taken with a flash.

John, I am taking about the metal frame that has the three screw that holed them to the car. What color is this frame on a deluxe coupe

Brooks, I am not 100% sure that is the correct color, although I vaguely remember it being that same color when I first took it all apart in 1973.

I misunderstood the question. It looks to me like the visor brackets and frame are the same color as the rear view mirror, which is a medium brown. Mike Kubarth will know the exact color. Post the question on the Early Ford V8 forum under the 40 Ford Book forum.

The ones I've seen are low gloss to no gloss medium brown
