Default ac on 53 ford victoria

now that I have most of my problems solved with overheating, I need to address heat from the engine radiating into the front seat area. city driving no problem up to 40 mph after that seems to get pretty warm inside on the front seat. I was thinking about insulating the fire wall do I insulate on the inside or the engine compartment or both?

I insulated the fire wall behind the stock pad and the floor and kick panels on a '50 Fordor. I think it helped alot with heat and noise reduction.....MARK

The more Insulation the better. 200+ temp. in the engine comp. is hard to deal with . I used 3 layers of the felt with aluminum backing. inside on my 48, it helped a bunch I also did the floor boards. lots of heat comes from the exhaust right under the floor.
