I think this was in the fall and is adding antifreeze after looking at enlarged rendition. He is maybe topping off with water after. OR he was flushing out a dirty radiator with a chemical solution and needed a lot of water to rinse and refill. That's where we all got our water not too long ago unless you were a Roman.

Cool Pic! I too thought water from the crick when I first glanced, but the can appears to have a new top with just the pour hole punched so I would surmise a new can of anti-freeze.
