Default Horn switch insulator

I have broken off part of the small insulator at the bottom of the horn tube (see pic). Anyone got any tips on how to fix this?

A small bit of 2 part epoxy to a clean surface should work fine.

If it is shorting and honking your horn, I use a piece of a large soda straw at the end to isolate it from ground.

I have a slight problem with the horn wire also, the light switch had not been hooked up on this truck after the rebuild several years ago and I've been fixing misc things, lights and horn being a couple, the horn wouldn't work at all as the horn button would not ground so I cleaned up the plate in the button, the spring the steering wheel and the spring plate, all works good when tested with coutinuity tester, but when I hook up the light switch the horn would operate, long story short the horn wire has a slight amount of movement up and down in the light switch rod and would contact the horn button when the light switch was plugged in, I made a spacer to put between the horn button hold down to space the button away from the contactor, the spacer at the end of the rod is in place and looks good,is this a case of just a little longer wire than necessary.

A small piece of irrigation lateral tube works perfectly.

Thanks everyone. So I need to un-solder the end piece to replace the broken insulator and then re-solder it? What is the tip made of? Looks like a bit of solder or maybe a bit of lead?

I just made a rounded ball of solder on the end of the wire.

The tip is a brass cup with a flat edge.
