I want to buy a Scat crank and use the stock rods.
Don`t want to grind the block

I know 4 1/4 will clear. That's the longest I have used with stock rods.
I built a 323 ci engine with 4 7/16 stroke and CAT rods. Had to grind the block
.050.

Pete,
Was it worth it? I want to turbocharge a 3 3/8 + 3 3/4. I havn't seen to many turbo set ups on flatheads. Chuck

I just did what the customer wanted, a naturally aspirated flathead that made at least one hp per cubic inch.
It was an interesting project.

#4 Meyer Drake Offy. Very similar to the 404A Isky.

Right angle drive gear box. Fuel pump on the left, tach drive on the right.
The right side will also take a power steering pump or a scavenger pump for dry sump depending on the application.

Thanks!

The engine above posted by oldford bellongs to George Perry of VT. The Frenzel blown engine is capped by twin plug heads and runs an L-100 cam. This drives an AOD trans into an 8" 4.11 rear. Yes the fear factor is quite hi when you mat this little duce roadster.
